Courtesy of The Butterfly Project, I am able test out and review products from 1028 Visual Therapy for my Birthday Month! Any Gemini babies here? *hands up*

The sequence of me reviewing the products is exactly the same as the sequence I apply them after my skincare. Normally I will start off with applying base makeup (foundation & powder) > eye brow > eye shadows > eye liner > mascara.

Direction of use

Apply to face with light strokes with its puff. Usually, I will start applying my makeup from inside out as T-zone area is where I have most flaws and then just dab the leftover product all over to ensure even skin tone.

The consistency of this product is more of a creamy and has slightly stickier texture.

I would say it has quite a bit of ashy yellowish undertone with medium to full coverage. The pigmentation of the product is formulated in a way that it allows us to build up the amount of coverage we wish to have. In short, it's buildable. However, do take note this product only has minimal to medium coverage when it's exposed to humidity and scorching heat from my experience of using.

Direction of use

Sealed in foundation or BB cream or CC cream with light dabbing motion with the fluffy puff provided. Make sure you focus on oily areas.

Personally, I love using it to bake my under eyes area too. However, to avoid that delicate area from getting overly dry, it is best to apply a decent amount of your trusty eye cream or eye serum prior to doing so.

Up close of how the base products turn out on my skin.

Here's how the product turns out on my oily combination skin. In terms of correcting my rather dull skin tone, I am satisfied with the Unseen Mesh Compact upon application. However, I think this product would be more suitable for people with normal to dry skin as it also provides moisture instead of just offering coverage.

As for the Ultimate Oil-Control Powder, it is my life saviour! Although using this two products on my skin did not show the best results, the finely milled powder really does it job mattifying the skin. Adding it to my holy-grail list, I am glad to say it worked well with my current foundation that I personally owned. To add on, for lazier days when I felt like wearing less makeup, I will just use this alongside with my sunscreen.

Directions of use

Fill in your brows with light strokes using this rhombus-tip pencil which I personally like to call this sort of shape, the sword cut. Remember to be light hand unless you wish to look like Ru Hua! :P The colour of this brow pencil is very pigmented.

Once you are satisfied with the shape, use the groomer/spoolie or some of you call it the eyebrow brush and comb through your brows in upward and outwards motion (from nose towards cheek). By doing so, it will make sure the colours are evenly spread as well as softening the look.

I find myself sticking to this eyebrow pencil ever since I got it! Below are few vain pictures of mine using this pencil.

Remember your eyes are the frames of your face, so do put some effort grooming it. Trust me, the humongous transformation could be seen with this simple effort!

Directions of use

If you want the shadows to turn up better, remember to apply a non-shimmery primer! Doing so definitely helps to make the colours pop up more and prevents too much fall outs. I find that this palette actually contains two different hues, the top row (1 - Gray Brown,2 Goldish Bronze, 3 Cream ) has brown tones while the bottom row (4 - Purple Brown, 5 - Dusty Pink, 6 Violet Grey) has pinkish purplish tones.

The look below was created using the brown tones. (2) was applied on the entire lids followed by (1) which were used to create depth for the eye sockets. Lastly, (3) was used to highlight the tear ducts or inner corners of the eyes to finish the 3D look for this look.

The colours here are less prominent as this picture was taken with my phone's front camera only, my camera is on leave now (LED screen spoilt, so awaiting repair). It somehow diminishes the lighter colours on the inner corners of my eyes.

Extremely thin nib allows precise application

Directions of use

Shake well before use for maximum colour impact.

Really love it's very thin nib which allowed me to easily draw on the inner corners and lower eyelid. TIP: When drawing your lower eyelid, instead of using the widely taught method to do so for the outer corner of the lower eyelid, try doing so at the middle part (the place where your eyeball will be when you look straight), it will give you a more eye-opening effect than the previous one! I find that eyes will look more youthful, more natural and dolly this way, what do you think?

BIG EYES! Magnifier Mascara

Directions of use

Using the cone-shaped brush sweep from the root to tip of the lashes. Repeat brushing, ideally twice to thrice to achieve the desired look. Once applied on the top lashes are done, use the tip to precisely extend target areas to create an eye awakening look.

Invited Review

Thanks to G Hotel Penang for inviting me to Berbuka Puasa at the Ramadhan Buffet offered at Taste Cafe

Without further ado, I would like to start with showing you their impressive line of buffet selections. Starting off, they have ulam-ulaman.

Sambal Kacang Ikan Bilis, Sambal Belacan, Budu, Cincaluk, Air Asam, Acar Limau are the condiments prepared to be eaten with the fresh herbs.

For the kerabu, we find the way Ghotel took the extra effort to not only make it taste yummy but also look appealing. My favourite kerabu goes to the one with avocados!

The salad bar that enables diners to DIY their own bowl of healthy fresh vegetables.

Lava Stone BBQ Grill

This is my absolute favourite counter of the night! Choices of slipper lobsters, corns, potatoes, chorizos, lamb and fish are grilled on the spot upon request. Unlike the usual grilling which uses charcoal, G Hotel specially imported the Lava Stone Grill from Indonesia also claimed that this special grill set will retain the natural flavours of the grilled delicacies and add on hints of char flavour while ensuring the meat are succulent.

Our Malaysian speciality drink, Teh Tarik

Last but not least I shall lure all of you over to my favourite among the favourite stretch aka DESSERTS! Seriously, I urge all of you to spare a special compartment in your tummy for their mouth-watering desserts no matter how full you are about to get after feasting the mains.

Dark Chocolate Fondue with condiments such as fresh strawberries, grapes and marshmallows is just one of the starter for dessert I must say.
