Late Lunch Catch Up @ The Haven Harbour

Hey there!  

It has been a couple of weeks since I last blogged.  So, once again welcome back my dear readers.

Instead of taking a nap, I decided to make my Saturday afternoon a lil more productive by keeping you guys updated.  Touched or not? :P  I was actually in a dilemma to get my hands on which post to complete first since I have already done editing those pictures during the wee hours of today/yesterday.  In the end, I made up my mind to do a food post first, yes it's another FOOD POST since the pictures tend to look more appealing like it usually do.  Promise it won't be about food on the next posting ;)  

Here's the hint to an upcoming posting.  

It may not be right after this since there's another beauty related post in line. :P  So we'll see.  Stay tuned peeps!

Moody mood has been fixed like totally, throughout the  busyness  it  all  bygone  :D   Here  am  I, looking perfectly fine!  JK  That's a gigantic teddy who we  invaded  his  table  to  have  our  lunch together.

Had super late lunch with my partner @cloey teng of the day after the aforementioned field trip.  We have said that we wanted to hangout someday and finally we did it yesterday after a year.  hahaha.... 

Initially we wanted to dine at another trending cafe which is housed few doors away from The Haven Habour but I'm glad that the service there literally shooed us away to be here.  Guess we were just invisible to be served and merely being welcomed despite not having a proper place to sit.   What kind of customer service is this?  I bet even a conventional "kopitiam" people will be more hospitable than this right?  In short, I will never ever lay my footstep into a cafe with ignorant workers or boss or whatever anymore, just no more and no means NO.   

In the end we ended up sitting here.  Here's the view from the cozy dining place we were in.

Lunch for two

Soupy Marinara

RM 19.90

Loving it!  Succulent prawns and fresh muscles that were optimally cooked were such an appetizing main to go with its herby and sourish chunky tomato soup.  Or it was because of me being too hungry?

Orange World

RM 11.90

A bit regretful to order this.  Don't misunderstand me, the taste was fine and in fact very refreshing but then....sighs continue reading and you will now why.

Cloey's

Creamy Carbonara

Tried a little of hers and hey!  It tasted not bad.

Baby Dark Chocolate

RM 4.90

The minute I saw this cup of chocolate I was like I should have ordered this!!!  So cute and according to Cloey it was not bad.  Oh no...this is making me to crave for a cup of warm choc as opposed to the not wanting to have anything chocolaty mode when I was placing my order.

I don't usually say this but then, I have a feeling that I would be returning to this cafe again in future.  For the Belgium dark chocolate drink as well as for the nice ambiance, signature desserts and good customer service despite not having service charge.

Coffee to Fix the Mood @ Just Caffe

Finally I have the time and the right mood to continue working on with this draft post which have been neglected, this explains how backdated this post is. :P  I have marked 18th September 2014 as my worst day in year 2014 and I hope that is more that enough for the worst.  Perhaps some of you knew what have happened but if you don't then just care not about it since its not something good to talk about. After all I never like talking about those bad things that happened to myself nor expressing it to people around me because I dislike people spreading negativity and bad vibes so I always try my best to uphold myself and all I do is keep everything in my heart and then fix the problem bit by bit. If you guys knew about what I am talking about, then yes you guys are those whom I consider as close friends and I couldn't thank you people any more because you guys were somehow part of my moral support for me to bounce back to adversity asap despite I don't usually get to meet up with you guys in person always.  Knowing that I could always reach to you guys to seek for support when I am in need, I'm just so thankful to have you guys.  ooppsy sorry for making you guys read a lengthy opening again. :P

Forgive me but then it is never too late for a good place to chill alongside with good food and a good cup of coffee, right?  

Excuse my perfectly ugly smile cuz it was so fake :( as I was really not in mood to take any selfies at that time but was kind of forced to.

So this is how I ended up in this place.  Broke the news in our group chat and few minutes after that my girl quickly pm me to ask me out, I was so reluctant to leave my house because at that time I was like fine TODAY I DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING ANYTHING ANYMORE...zzz  She was like get out of the house now and in order to make sure she could successfully drag me out for lunch, she even asked her dad to pick me and is already on her way.  How could I deny?  Like a walking dead, not even giving a damn where she is bringing me I just followed whenever she takes me which is so not me.  

Flat White

Here goes my third time tasting flat white and I have to say it has become my ultimate choice for coffee.  Not to mention that this is by far the one that suites my preference the most.  Sweetness has always been my major concern when it comes to drinks and the ratio of sugar for this is just optimum to my liking.  

 Panini (Beef Bacon + Egg)

Mouthful as its seen!  I don't usually order anything that looks like sandwich or burger when I am at the restaurant/cafe because to me those are just fast food which could be made or simply take away during rush hour.  Their panini are just so tummy satisfying!

No matter what, when you are relaxing at a cafe a room for dessert is always a must!  I am not sure about you guys but I tend to do so whenever I go for a food hunt.  

Choc Lava Cake

 This thing definitely came it at the right timing to cheer up an emo girl, not entirely but at least for a moment I have felt like omg!! " I feel good...tadaa daa daa da" in my mouth grooving as I have a spoonful of crackly and slightly chewy cake with hot melted choc in its core with my all time favourite vanilla ice cream. MM......

Also went to Penang Road for what they are famous for Chendoi and also Ice Kacang when @regina lim joined us and then ended of day randomly after bowling.

Wondering why I didn't list out the price for the food?  Because I'm not the one paying the bill, was lucky to have my gf to treat for me so I have no idea how much they costed.  Reflecting back I think I didn't even spend a single cent on that day because they paid everything for me.   The funny thing is I was down till I only knew I have forgotten my purse at the end of the day.  Imagine if I was alone?  I think I would have ended up washing plates at the cafe LOL

A Better Weekday Breakfast @ Baa Baa Black Sheep

     不好意思我不是在等一个人的咖啡而是在好好欣赏我自己的一杯咖啡

So there I went before heading to college for classes since I still have like two to almost three hours before my hectic day, had a total four classes on that day.  Thanks a lot to replacement classes for adding on to our burden which the ultimate reason of me hating public holidays.  I don't usually eat out during weekdays because I would rather make my own breakfast so that I can prolong my sleeping time as well as spending less of my allowance and saving it up for other things :P  My kinda last minute plan was somewhat a super random one, simply invited my best mates to join and some could not make it due to the need to comply to the Lunar Ninth Month Nine Emperor Gods and festival go on vegetarian and the rest are still in the dreamland I suppose.  Cannot blame them, I mean like who on earth with the right mind would be awake at seven something in the morning when class starts at 10.30am?  At least it won't be me :P but sometimes I do have exceptions and good food is the major thing (now I sound like a gluten =_=).  So since there is nobody to join I just went on myself as expected and as planned actually to relax and unwind. ;)  

Actually you can avoid wasting your eye power to read this whole paragraph by scrolling through since there's not much substance relating to my topic :P  Basically it's just me drifting away from my review to blabbering.  hehe...what to do this is MY BLOG!  

Dining alone would be a major problem for me previously but not now anymore! Finally discovered dining alone to be as enjoyable as dining in a group as long as you're able to keep yourself occupied.  I know I'm gonna be an official adult in less than a year so it's time to level up my independence level.  Things that I couldn't do when I was an infant (below 18 years old, Commercial Law thought me that), I could do it all today!  Whee!  Shopping alone? No problem! T&C: as long as I have enough money to spend :P, idling and wondering around alone? no big deal! Having meals alone seems okay and relaxing (T&C preferably at a quieter place or at best at a place where no one knows me) & one more thing is going solo for a movie at the cinema (greatest thing ever when you could make the entire row of seating yours) ^_^  Now I sound like an antisocial loner, in fact I think I could be that way but then when I am with people, sorry if I annoyed you but then I think I am that type of super noisy and nosy person at the same time. That's probably how I am when I am a part, see my involvement? :P  Excuse me I am aware I am making this post super lengthy like an aunty talking but let me finish this with a last sentence next. Meeting few friends that I could rely to address them as MY FRIENDS no matter where I am in the way which I don't have to think twice to speak, feel awkward to confront and confess when need to, I could not ask for more and felt so bless to have them tolerating with me and sometimes some of my shenanigans.

Caffe Latte

RM 9.90

 Not the best I've had but acceptable and consider to be not bad since the coffee art managed to remain till my last gulp.  Sweetness is just nice to be accepted by my taste buds but then it's not that aromatic.  Overall it's still a decent cup of caffeinated drink to have in the morning.

 Smoked Salmon & Eggs Waffle

RM 11.90

According to their menu it'll be served with scramble eggs but then I've asked the waitress to alter my order a little by changing the scramble eggs to poached eggs since I don't make those when I am home.  

 Don't you think this is like an innovative serving of the Egg Benedicts?  Instead of using traditional muffins, pairing it up with waffles seems satisfying to me.  Actually this portion is a little too much for me to finish.  That' s when I prefer dining with at least a person who could help me with my share.

This is the main reason why I love poached eggs, just by looking at the yolk oozing out makes me felt so much delighted!  However, their perfection is lack of consistency and only one egg is at its perfect state and the other is not so. :( 

That's how I've meaningfully spent my time while waiting.  A good book aka Divergent Trilogy - Insurgent, a 3D Eiffel Tower postcard from my bff which I am making it my bookmark, cup of Caffe Latte, smoked salmon with waffles topped with poached eggs :D

It has been quite some time since I last need to manually edit so much for my pictures ever since I got Iris.  Pictures are taken with my smartphone since I was too lazy to bring my camera out.  I just hope the picture quality aren't too bad.
