YOKO Milk Body Series by Natta Cosme

Sponsored Post

As suggested by the title above, today I'm gonna provide you guys with my personal review of this YOKO Milk Body Series.  Courtesy of Natta Cosme, I have been fortunate to be given the opportunity to try out some of the products from the milk series.  I bet you guys could tell that is the main ingredient of their products since the packaging resembles a milk cow.

Here are the four products that I am about to go into details about its properties and review them according to my own experience since I have been using them for two weeks or more.

Moo!
Even the little cow is having a hard time carrying the tower of products

 Spa Milk Salt Shower Bath
RM 20
When I was un-boxing, this was the first thing that I am looking forward to find out about the most.  Lured by the pleasant fragrance I dug some of the products with my fingers and found it to be too rough at first but then surprisingly after mixing it with some water it became very easy on the skin yet super effective in scraping off those dead skin cells.  If you are wondering, this product is totally like our usual kitchen salt except for having a nicer scent and denser with skin nourishing properties.

Here are the before and after effect.
Picture was taken after once only.  I am surprise that this product actually helps to smooth out my dead skin pretty well.  Since then I have been using it at least once a week to exfoliate my limbs specifically my elbows, thighs, ankles and knees.

2. Milk Body Lotion
RM 35

Applying lotion after exfoliation is a must!  However I tend to neglect that at times due to the disliking of applying lotion that will leave me with that super sticky feeling as if I didn't bath.  I'm glad that at the same time for rejuvenating the skin with nutrients, this lotion is by far one of the best as its convenient with just the need to pump the adequate out and the formula is non greasy at all which means I am able to carry out writing after applying lotion since it absorbs into the skin rapidly.

3. Hair Spa Milky Rich
RM 42
Though this is not really my favourite hair mask, I have to admit that even tough they are still frizzy like the lion king especially after blowing dry without applying any other treatments, my hair have been getting less tangles upon my regular usage of their hair spa after shampooing.  Often used it as a substitute for hair conditioner since I have had mine totally used up and have yet to replace my empties.
Picture speaks louder than words.  So here you go!
Above illustrations are after being blow dry and free from any hair treatments

After incorporating with some hair treatments and styling products

4. Body Butter Cream
RM 30
Works almost the same as body lotion, it's just that the formula is more enriching and thicker i consistency and its said to be able to retain skin moisture and combat wrinkles.  Not really a fan of body butter (my last bottle of body butter which I've got for more than a year to aid my dry patches is still half bottle full, abandoned it after it gave me smooth skin :P) despite its valuable components so I gave it to mummy and I can see her enjoying slabbing on practically every single day. Just fyi I am also applying it tonight.  Really loving the mind calming Chamomile scent.

GOOD NEWS my readers as you guys will be entitled for a 10% discount for any YOKO product. Simply key in the coupon code "LOVEYOKO" upon checkout. This code will be valid until 31st December 2014.

Casual Ipoh Food Tripping

Having a rainy Saturday night here, how about you my dear readers?

The sense of relieved you felt after one down (as in after submitting an assignment).  It's like I can finally WIGGLE WIGGLE WIGGLE :P

Have been undergoing a restless period again and it worsens each and every time this happens.  Frankly speaking, there are times that I felt like deleting this little space of mine and just carry on focusing on my mundane life which is pretty much uninteresting and lifeless I guess.  However, thanks to you guys, my dear readers whom I may or may not know you in person for dropping by here.  At least I'm not a total transparent blogger and have mere visibility I supposed.  The satisfaction I've got upon seeing the increasing of page views per day despite not actively posting as much as I used to be was simply motivating especially when the significant rising number of page views didn't only lasted for a day or two which I thought I'm just darn lucky to have it that way but I really have no idea how but the fact it is.  So, thank you! :)

To cut a long story short, few weeks ago I've went down to Ipoh again with my dearest family.  As usual we did nothing much except for eating lol.

新东区小食中心
My favourite dessert/drinks in Ipoh which could be easily found in practically most of their coffee shops.  However, taste may vary but I have to tell you that most of their homemade drinks are way nicer than what we have in Penang.  Remember to at least try them out once if you were to visit Ipoh.
Left: Water chestnut and corn with egg white
Right: Barley and *fu chuk* (in cantonese)
Not to forget the famous Ipoh White Coffee
Something that might make your fainting spells go away if you were to drive a long distance though it does not really work for me that way, their aromatic White Coffee is definitely something that could satisfy my sensory.

Hakka Mee
Noodles with minced meat and crunchy bean sprouts sprinkled with spring onions soaked in sauces made up of mainly soy sauce and drizzled with sesame oil is simply appetizing despite only including simple ingredients.  As for the noodles, I would describe it as a hybrid between the springy China's famous 担担面 "Dan Dan Noodles" and 豆签 "Tau Chiam" (soya bean noodles).  Trust me this is something that is worth slurping especially if you are dropping by Ipoh.

德记炒粉点 Tuck Kee

Braised Chicken Leg

Hor Fun
Velvety smooth rice noodle is something that you should not miss if you are in Ipoh!

Octopus

Thean Chun Coffee Shop (天津茶室)

Calling all egg lovers who also love desserts!!!  Just for your knowing, I will usually share out my desserts but totally not for this two below.  As both are also my favourite which I could not even get a taste close to them in town, I just did not bother letting go either one which explains why I just ordered both at once.  Who cares about calories when you have yummy taste of local desserts?

蛋茶 Egg Tea
Being slightly indifferent from the widely known Herbal Egg 茶叶蛋 which is more to a salty snack I would say, for this dessert the egg is being soaked in the sweetened herbal tea which may have a hint of bitterness at the end of the sip.  I presumed that those enjoy eating herbal eggs will like something like this as being a person who loves herbs this bowl suits my personal preference a lot especially when the herbal tea seeps into the hard boil egg, mm simply flavourful.

Caramel Custard
Aside from the Egg Tea dessert which is served hot, their caramel custard is another dessert which has egg as its main ingredient.  If you love Creme Brulee or pudding then this is definitely a dessert specially for you and the good news is it only cost you a fraction of the price of the popular fine French dessert.   This served chilled creamy and milky dessert goes absolutely well with the caramelized sugar.

Satay
The availability of satay in the particular coffee shop itself is like an appetizer because the waiting time for the mains or star dish is kind of time consuming.  From getting a place to sit till being able to finally eat took us for about 40 minutes of waiting time during lunch hours.  Back to the satay, though I am a monster who eats pigs' organs I do not really like eating pigs' liver especially overcooked ones (don't judge, when I say I literally eat everything except for humans, reptiles and insects, I really mean it!) many are surprise with this fact of mine whenever they asked and I tell them the truth. C'mon think about it, unless you are a vegan, if not and if you are someone who eats meat you are literally an omnivore or carnivore like I am and are somewhat consider as a murderer who is also the factor of an animal to lose its life and if you are able to swallow down its flesh why not other parts since they are also part of its poor dead body? :P  The thing that I wanted to mention here is, surprisingly the taste of the bizarre satay (pigs' liver) goes really well with the satay sauce.  Not forgetting to mention that I have heard of rabbit, beef, deer, lamb or even intestine skewers but this is my very first time seeing such selection in satay.  The texture was really creamy ad slightly powdery I would say, if you are familiar with fine dining I think you could imagine as if you are savouring Chicken or Goose Liver Pate with our local nutty satay sauce.

Bean Sprouts

鸡丝河粉 "Kai Si Hor Fun"

This heartwarming dish is like an exquisite version of the mainstream "Koey Teow Thng"  and it is something like our Penang Famous Hokkien Mee, this Ipoh famous dish's soup based is also made up wonderful flavours compensated by the large amount of prawn shells.  This bowl of silky smooth thin hor fun (rice noodles) goes best by having bean sprouts chicken as a side order.
芽菜雞 Chicken

Initially I was trying complete my draft for advertorial/sponsored posting but then I'm pushing that away at the moment to do an up closed personal kind of post aka a more to my private life which I hardly like to talk so much about or publicize too many about that so that things could remain as a mystery.  Interested to know more?  Then you should continue reading on because I'm currently still typing despite the need to prepare myself for a tidal wave consisting of assignment submission, presentations, oral assessments, blog datelines, proposal for approval, official paper works, mid-terms, nitty-gritty stuffs to think about and follow up while having to struggle to not fall, gasping to follow up just because you do not want to disappoint expectations of others especially to those who shower their trust on you and always have faith in you.  Not ranting, not complaining since those are what I have asked for and I do not regret my moves because that practically my drive of life.

There was once a friend of mine described blogging as uninteresting and it is just like doing assignment which is time consuming and requires lots of effort to manage which is meaningless.  Nothing more I could say besides believing that different people having different perspective I would say.  If my mindset is still set in my lower secondary school days I bet this is something that will get on my nerves due to my hyper sensitivity but for today, if you were to ask me, at this point of life my thought will just be condemning someone's interest is not a cool thing to do because it brings you no where, period! :)  Feel free to share with me your thoughts in the comment box below as I will always be opened to your say. :)

Thanks for your time and I hope you are able to gain something after scrolling through my entire post.

                            See you soon!

ARFF Asean Tourism and Fashion Fair 2014 @ MARITIME AUTOMALL

Event Invitation: 8th November 2014

Many thanks for the invitation to attend the ARFF Asean Tourism and Fashion Fair 2014
Firstly, sorry for the hiatus and thanks to my crazy laptop I have to rewrite this post entirely from scratch.  I wish I could just toss it into the trash now but not yet :(  Can't blame me for having such feelings right?  Imagine that! You felt accomplished and are only lacking of one step to click and publish your effort and within seconds of lagging, the thing went haywire and you have no choice but to start all over again. !!!

You guys may proceed to watch this compilation if reading is not your thing :P

Local delights by Bamboo Catering service
Above is only part of the buffet servings.  At first I doubt that they will taste good as normally catering service that offers local delights just provide food with taste that deserves thumbs down but for this time the food was surprisingly delicious.  Except for their ice kacang which are too sweet to my liking due to the use of condense milk instead of evaporated milk to drizzle though I should really thank this concoction for curing my sore throat and cough.  Was coughing like a grandma for a few days in the past week but after savouring their ice kacang, I no longer have a hint of the slightest cough.  Miracle do happens.  Perhaps this is what that makes people say 以毒攻毒 which is a saying that literally means curing the virus with poison.

Opening dance but street dancers
Actually I have prepared a compilation video of the event but then I will be posting it up here and on my YouTube channel later on by this weekend because my dying laptop just ain't compromising with me at all again.

Performer of the night
Apparently, this guy have a great voice and made the show more enjoyable.  This show is like a Victoria Secret fashion show inspired except for the need of us who are trying to take pictures having raindrops dripped on our heads at the outdoor show.  Lucky thing the show was pretty awesome with models in vibrant outfits do their catwalks while this performer who sang several hits by Bruno Mars kept the runaway entertaining with his guitarist.

Collage of some of my personal favourites outfit shots
It is a must to salute those models who are able to do their catwalk and put up a great show in their super heels despite the slippery stage.

Had an eventful Saturday evening and of course it was nice to meet you girls again and spending time catching up throughout the event.

Mamak Lunch Date @ Subaidah

Hello readers!  How's your week going?   As for me to say #tgif was pretty fast for me this week as I've skipped three days in between for recovery after my Monday blue.  I'll usually be happy to be able to not go to classes but not at all for this time.  Being ill is just so not fun especially when you can't really consume solid food and speak with a proper voice.  I'm glad I can finally return to college today and being able to speak though not too much or else I'll end up coughing till my lungs are about to drop. :(

Since I'm not suppose to do too much talking yet, here I go typing!

Though I find it quite funny to blog about our super casual lunch meet up but then why not?  Fyi, this is our first time dating at such place instead of our usual girly cafe outing.  I was actually giggling when I saw +Kharn Yee blogging about it so I decided to join the hype. :P Basically, this post is inspired by this girl beside me.  As aforementioned, since I can't really talk for these few days (in fact I've been living like an almost mute fellow for three effing days already), so I might as well do something I enjoy aka blog to occupy my leisure time meaningfully.
Teh Tarik has always been an all time favourite at a mamak restaurant.  Agree?  However, despite dining at such places for countless times, I have yet to try nor even know that there's Kopi Tarik till the waiter at Subaidah recommended me because I was quite indecisive of what to drink.
What I have to say is mm, I turned out liking their Kopi Tarik. A simple glass of aromatic milk coffee with reasonable pricing totally satisfy my longing for coffee.
Actually I wasn't wanting to capture the waiter but he just happened to photobomb when I was testing out my camera settings.  Happened to spot a box of Gold Medal Tea box hehe...so that's their secret to produce such nice tea and coffee!
So here's what we have ordered.  The waiter highly recommended us their Murtabak Maggi.  I was like Maggi?  Then, I went asking as in Maggi Mee?  The yellow instant noodles?
Okay apparently, I didn't heard it wrongly, it's murtabak with Maggi filling same concept like how Nasi Pattaya is wrapped with omelette.  Now this is something new!
See I'm not joking!  We were doubting about our order until we dug into the core to unveil the maggi.  Though it was a special dish, but then I personally thinks it tasted too salty and I have nothing much to be raved about since it tasted so-so.

Ordered their Roti Itali which is also one of their in house speciality.

This tasted pretty much like a fusion dish.  Having this is like having roti canai with red sauce spaghetti if that makes any sense.  Overall, I prefer their Roti Itali over Murtabak Maggi.

#selfie to end this posting because it is a sin to not have one for a girls date :P
