Roadtrip 3.0, Day Tripping @ Cameron Highlands & Ipoh

You may be able to relate the statement to the picture below if you watch enough movies or pay close attention to movie details, which I obviously have no idea till +Ivan Tan told me. 

The staple item for roadtrip, food to munch and chips are always handy to keep the driver awake and the easily bored, easily feel sleepy and hungry passenger entertained without the need to starve.  

Just sharing some places that I thought could be useful for days when you run out of ideas to spend your weekends with friends, partner or family.   Cameron strikes my mind as it's always good to have a break from the island's scorching hot weather.

STRAWBERRY FARM

You can also self-picked strawberries in this farm.  

However, we did not do so as I hardly have good luck when it comes to strawberries (always got sour ones previously) from Cameron and he doesn't fancy them at all.  Regardless of that, I felt it's a great way to spend quality time with family especially if you have little ones tagging along, bet this will be fun for them.  

They also have a few potted roses for sale.

LAI KI RESTAURANT

Stopped by this restaurant we happened to spot substantial amount of crowd on our way.    Nope this posting is not going to be a food review as the food served were just so-so.

Quite touched as this loveable guy actually got me a honey stick from the Strawberry Farm and ask me to take it to sooth my throat.  🙊  Fyi, I was at the recovering stage of a bad cough.  

If you are planning a trip to Cameron, I highly suggest you drop by our third stop!  By far my favorite touristy spot of all the attractions in Cameron.

LAVENDER GARDEN

Entry fee: RM8 / adult

Excuse us, it is a must to take this mandatory touristy shot especially when no one is photobombing such a nice backdrop.   Best timing ever!

I am not a person who is fond of roses but Lavenders definitely have a special placing in my favorite flowers listing 😍 

Do not miss getting their Lavender Softserve if you are an ice-cream lover!  Despite coughing, I still could not resist of having it since it's not easy to find this flavour of soft serve in Malaysia.  From what I know Hokkaido has it, too bad I have not been there yet, just saw it being publicized on some travel show but someday I WILL lay my footsteps in one of my all time dream to go country!  JAPAN 🙌 Hajimemashite, watashiwa Teoh desu, dozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu (idk if my 半桶水 Japanese still can pass or not now) please wait for my invasion in your land. 

Am I blabbering too much?  Back to the soft serve, the sweetness is rather mild but the fragrance of lavender is prominent.  If I am not mistaken they also have strawberry flavoured soft-serve besides lavender.  

*NOTE* 

Do buy it once you see it, or else you would have to hike from one end to another again to get it.    Fyi, the farm is a one-way path with parallel slopes. 

After getting your ice-cream, just be photo ready and take as many pictures as you could!

To all the guys out there who already captured your angels (girlfriends') heart, you do no have to spend RM999 for a bouquet of roses here, just RM2 per stalk for sunflower.  Remember to be romantic (jangan kedekut tahu) and support local business kay! 

Us in the middle of choosing a flower, my cheeky monkey said actually we should get a budding sunflower which could last longer and maximised its RM2 worth 😦.  

Thanks bb!  Your sunflower has been accompanying me for a week plus already for now.😀

Happens when you bring an aunty personality gf out

1. Sunflower (first flower from +Ivan Tan), 2. Greens, 3. Strawberry Ice Sticks (a must to get!), 4. Customized Batsy Jersy 👫, 5. Ginvera Shower Gel from Watson because Penang elek (jk, I ran out of shower gel & have been using diluted ones to showered for at least 3 days oopsy...there you go, my dirty little secret 😜 6. Cauliflower + Red Capsicum + Green Capsicum, 7. Strawberry Sambal Ikan Masin (Salted Fish) 🍓 + 🐟 = 😘, 8. Dried Roselle, Strawberry, Buddha's Hand, 9. Cherry Tomatoes, 10. Sweet Potatoes (which daddy turned them into "Sweet Potato Dessert" before I have the chance to take pictures), 11. Cameron Avocado & something like passion fruit kind of fruit (tell me if you know the name of it!)

BEE FARM

The little kid in this man exist.  This was his third attempt to win something from this claw machine.  Poor thing....

 After that he decided it's best to just spend on something which 100% probability to get.  Glad you finally became wiser. 😜

IPOH TONG SUI KAI 糖水街 

Dropped by one of my favourite Ipoh Street Food places aka TONG SUI KAI 糖水街 before heading back to our hometown since it was almost 8 pm and as usual, my tummy started to churn again.  It only takes around 45 minutes to reach here from Simpang Pulai.

"A friend asked us, both of you have been together so long already, why still so sweet?"  Frankly speaking, I never thought we could last this long not as things were rocky previously.  With small talks, sharing and advises from close trusted friends, guess our mindset have somehow altered and currently better at adapting to each others' flaws.

相爱没有那么容易，每个人都有他的脾气；

要在一起就得一人让一步咯，任何事情都要和平商量，信任对方。。。

不如每天都是世界大战。

这就是我在我宝贵的第一段恋情学会的， 用了一年多的时间才愿意改善的😅

Regardless of that, thank god we have got over that stage and have grown together as a better couple, a partner in crime, dodgeball teammate (just in case you are not aware, together with a bunch of enthusiastic scholars from Wawasan Open University, we managed to form Se7en - Infinity Dodgeball Club) and best friend.

It is important to get children to be interested in learning a subject rather than to feel pressured having to learn it.   Just by looking at the collage below, which learning environment would you want your children to have?

Just a sharing of my personal experience, throughout my study years, there are times when friends approached and ask me to guide them when they are lost in a subject where I did better than them.  Although I may get myself a pretty fair score at times for certain subjects but to be frank, sometimes I am also not sure how to explain them in layman understandable terms to others.  (That does not mean I am 'kiasu' 😆 kay!  It's just I don't wish to confuse people)  

At this point, I hope I somewhat manage to get you attention to look for the right person to teach the right subject to your child, sibling, friend, acquaintance etc.
