Gartien had expanded from a humble heritage unit to double multi-storey units along the main road of Penang Road, next to the famous Kek Sheng Cafe with more state-of-the-art equipments to cater to the ever increasing demands of its customer.
Just for your extra info just in case you are not that familiar with what kind of business is it. Gartien(小田佳園) is actually a company set up by a Penangite, using our homegrown resources aka the freshest pineapples from nearby plantations to bake their delightful Gartien Pineapple Cakes. It was an honor for me to be invited to their grand opening of the new Gartien and I felt grateful to be warm welcomed by the aromatic scent of the pineapple cakes at their store.
The grand opening of Gartien was officiated by YB Dr. Afif bin Bahardin, Pengerusi Pertanian & Industri Asas Tani, Pembangunan Luar Bandar dan Kesihatan, witnessed by Joseph Tan, Gartien’s Pastry Chef, YB Teh Lai Heng, State Assemblyman of KOMTAR, Tuan Haji Ahmad, Pengarah Pertanian Pulau Pinang, Dato Dr. Kenny Ong, Group Executive Chairman of MTT Group of Companies and Mr. Lee See Hai, main supplier/partner.
Besides the ribbon cutting ceremony to officiate the opening, there were also the well known Chinese Culture Dance aka The Lion Dance to chase all bad omens away and bring in lots of luck and prosperity.
Variety of finger food and drinks were served to guests at the opening.
There's also a wall filled with polariods of happy customers, spot my bestie & me *winks* ;)

Some finger food by Bamboo catering that are idly cute! Fyi, I'm also a sucker for miniature food & let me tell you the crepe cake (not in the pic) served on that day were MM...not picture available because I'm obviously too busy savouring and that is not the main focus. :P

If you guys have been following my blog for certain time, you might have find this brand being mentioned and seem to be familiar with its name. (I wonder how many people have but I have it but then memory of that time is only applicable to places that I could find nice FOOD & I'm serious about it :P) One thing I really like about Gartien is they have been putting in effort to customize the design of their packaging. (I'm a sucker for packaging because if it is being meticulously packed, I personally think that it already won half of the heart of the consumers, agree?) Here you go just in case you are interested to have a look at how the CNY packaging looks like.
The MidAutumn Edition of Gartien Pineapple Cakes.
There are 10 pieces of delectable pineapple cakes in the box and each pineapple cake is wrapped in a simple white and purple wrapper..
In order to produce the top notch and best ratio pineapple filling, the pineapple cubes are cooked for 12 hours till it turns golden which will make up to the juiciness and sweetness of its fillings. Every bite you take, you feel the texture of the real pineapples. The milky and buttery golden pastries are baked to perfection as it gives the light and fluffy feel (definitely the best of the best quality a pastry should have). Absolutely love it to melt-in-mouth at each and every bite as its the together with its chunky/strips of pineapple filling once you bite till the core, heavenly concoction.
Each love bird will have a companion to make them a pair of love birds. Don't you guys think that this sort of theory could also be applicable to savour food? What? You guys think that I am going to tell you a love story, paiseh as I have no inspiration for that yet. :P So lets just come back to the main point = food = finding the other half for Gartien Pineapple Cakes to savour it in the most pleasurable way.

3. The selling price per box with 10 pieces of pineapple cakes is RM45 (self collect only). A fix courier charge of RM10 & RM40 will be applicable to all deliveries within Peninsular Malaysia & East Malaysia respectively.
4. Each box is fixed price throughout the year.
