My Bountiful 22nd Birthday

TGIF, Friday is the fly day I am always happy to welcome on weekly basis.  Basically, one presentation has been done, 2/3 mid-terms down & completed 2/7 assignments.   Teeny tiny happenings that is worth celebrating by taking some time to do the things I enjoy.

Prior to the main topic, glad to be able to spend some time at the cinema.  Went to watch Now You See Me 2 which is a sequel to Now You See Me with bie after our yummy Indian cuisine lunch and visiting a friend in the hospital.  

As always magicians never fails to amaze the little girl in me.  

However, I still prefer the previous female horseman than Lula, simply because I am fond of Henly's chic sassy look.

See?  That's how the Escapist wins my heart.

#4 Post-birthday treat from my NS comrades 

Was not able to make time to celebrate with these people on time but then it is always to be late than never.  4th year of friendship and I hope we will still continue to count on.   Gala House was a contingency of a contingency spontaneous decision.  

My first choice cafe was fully booked (damn feeling bad for not pre-booking) and second one was closed, no choice it was Agong's birthday and no luck for non birthday person.   Food we ordered and I have to say I am satisfied with their portion, pricing, service and quality!

Free & Easy KL Road Trip

Hey there!

It's already halfed the year of 2016, so how's everyone doing?

Thereby I am back to here to freshen up this favourite space of mine. 

Realised that it has been quite some time since I last blogged about my personal updates/life.  So yeah I am back with a summary of my KL trip during my most recent semester break.

DAY 1

Instead of killing two birds with one stone, I think I killed three, thanks to timing was able to make it a fun-filled trip with my bae +Eileen Pang and spending quality time for a couple of days at the city she is currently basing in. Had our virgin double date hehehe.  Catching up with my super long time no see relatives with mummy as well.

Long story short, we went to IKEA for dinner on the first day we arrived at KL.  IKEA MEATBALLS, shameful to say...yeah it was my first time tasting them.    I know I am outdated.  So glad to have bie to share them with me! :D  Absolutely loving the jam and meatballs together.

Vegetables mendallion.  Anything made out of potatoes on the menu is that something I hardly skip.  No regrets ordering them as well!  Learned something new during this dinner, bie does not like them.  How saddening.

In my family, nobody ever told me that IKEA serves nice chicken wings.  Hmmm...but nevermind, the most important thing is I know it now and my bie loves this.

Mandatory groupfie.  So glad we found a nice place to put my camera on hands-free (which is hehehe on a trolley just so that all of us could look perfect in this shot)

Apparently they have to be sweet till wearing the same colour outfits.

            DAY 3

Here comes the beginning of us utilising the buy one get one free incentive with the Entertainer App (click here for more info).  I am not affiliated with them but this is just for sharing purpose since the 'katak di bawah tempurung' me only knew about such app after being introduced by my bf +Ivan Tan .  To me it sounded too good to be true at first, however, please take note that this is an app that needs to be purchased beforehand for those who have yet to be exposed to such service existence.  

Had coffee break at the recommended coffee spot by the bf.  Personally love their coffee and they are actually a Malaysian brand http://cilisos.my/12-brands-you-didnt-know-were-actually-malaysian/ , double impressed.  

I must say, their coffees are just as good or even better than some of the well-known brands for coffee.  If you have yet to try, you should! ;)    Basically, we spent around RM20 for four large sizes of premium beverages.

Overall food was nice and settings was classy.

On the same day, we also went to Sri Petaling Pasar Malam and it was one of my happiest meal in KL.  One need not always spend a bomb to get yummy food.

The spicy sourish garlicky soup base was a perfect blend with the deep fried black tofu!  Missing this till today.  Do let me know if there is night market in Penang selling this please.

Thai Grilled Chicken.  Had this to reminisce times at Bangkok.

The sweet and spicy thai sauce went terrifically well with the sticky rice and chicken.

 Meatballs coated with assorted sauces.  All of us were most tantalized with the white sauce coated meat balls.

Had brunch at Delicious, One Utama while awaiting mummy's arrival to KL.

Blossom Deli Cafe

Relatives brought us here for late lunch and we really enjoyed the food.  Not only the pricing is reasonable, their environment is cozy and offerings are very generous in portion wise.

I personally find strawberry flavoured food distasteful but their home made Strawberry Cheesecake prooved me wrong.  This is the best Strawberry Cheesecake I've had in my life!

Dim Sum for breakfast before we headover to Sunway Pyramid to shop.

DAY 7

Nana's Green Tea @ One Utama

Brought mum here for belated mother's day celebratory lunch.  We were too hungry to care about taking pictures at that time, so yeah this was the only representing shot that we dined there haha.  Glad that mum enjoyed the food and Uji Cha.

Dinner on the bus while enjoying movie.  

We have travelled by bus (KSM express bus & Aeroline), LRT, Uber, Grab Car & relatives car.  Spent within RM100 from Penang to KL & approximately RM50 within KL city on transportation. 

This is overall one of the most amazing trip I have had in KL.   First experience moving around with public transportation from Penang to KL and within KL.  It has been quite wallet-friendly and definitely more hassle free throughout the trip.  Reasons of me saying that is I get to surf the net on my phone and look whenever I want when I'm in a vehicle since I'm not on the driver seat.  Of course, I also need not worry about fighting for parking spots and waste time going round and round car parks.  See so much time saved! ;)
